Gourmet getaway
With three elegant suites, Belle Bois is a rambling country property set in the Capertee Valley just beyond the Blue Mountains. Next month, the country getaway adds a culinary element with a two-night, all-inclusive food and wine experience for a maximum of six people. Taking in the region's incredible produce, you'll wander wineries, visit a truffiere and meet local farmers, savouring flavours along the way. Places are limited for this experience that runs form 17–19 March.
Culinary Altitude
Orange's brand-new foodie event is Altitude. Held on 4 March, wander round stunning Lake Canobolas as you enjoy a roving degustation of locally produced wines and produce. Slurp fresh oysters, sip drops from the likes of Printhie Wines and Philip Shaw, and indulge in sweet treats from Racine Orange and handmade cheeses from Second Mouse Cheese.
Hidden hinterlands flavours
Join Kiff and Culture on their two new food-focused tours through the lush hinterlands of NSW's North Coast, Tweed Valley Food and Culture and Byron Hinterland Paddock to Plate. Spend a day sampling the merchandise of a fruit farm, roaming idyllic villages, absorbing artful precincts, and tasting beautifully made products including rum, coffee and cheese.
Rosey drops
Direct yourself to Orange's newest wine bar Hey Rosey for food and wine that celebrates the region's immense culinary talent. Seating just 20 vino-loving patrons at a time, from Friday through to Tuesday, this intimate watering hole pours fun, local wines served alongside small plates by chef Hugh Piper, all without taking itself too seriously.

Revel in Crescent Head's old-school surf culture with a stay in the soon-to-open, '70s-inspired Sea Sea Hotel. Australian designer George Gorrow has reinvigorated an existing 24-room property, attracting both surfers and design-lovers to this tiny hamlet on the Macleay Valley Coast. Set to open on May 1, Sea Sea includes a gallery and a restaurant by acclaimed chef Daniel Medcalf.
A night in Eden
Spend a night in luxury laced with history at Eden's Hotel Australasia. As the 'Grand Old Lady' of Eden, this eight-room, five-star boutique hotel began life in 1904, but reopened in late 2022 after being tenderly restored to her original beauty. Inside the hotel, discover fine-dining restaurant Circa 1904, a bistro and cocktail bar, as well as elegantly styled rooms that blend old-world opulence with modern style.

Wander among the brightest of blooms on the Liverpool Plains Sunflower Trail, which is officially open from now until mid-March, including several farms on the Liverpool Plains across Willow Tree, Wallabadah, Quirindi and Premer. Explore Narooma's stunning Mystery Bay Foreshore through Sharon Mason's Gnarl Cultural Tours, an immersive two-hour guided cultural walk with a local Yuin knowledge-holder, leading you deep into the history and lore of this beautiful locale. Learn about ancient sustainability practices, forage for native ingredients and listen to the Dreamtime stories that shape this beautiful stretch of the NSW coast.

Art lovers will relish a trip to Wagga's revitalised Museum of the Riverina, home to the brand-new and culturally significant Wiradyuri Gallery, which, in celebration of its opening, will display seven important cultural objects on loan from the Australian Museum's First Nations collection. Gathered from Wiradyuri Country in the 1860s, the artefacts, which include a shield and clubs, are steeped in local lore and have a deep connection to the area.
