LEGOLAND California Resort makes the Southern California CityPASS Program even more awesome

The addition of LEGOLAND® California Resort to the Southern California CityPASS® admission card, beginning June 3, 2015, will make everything even more awesome when it comes to saving money on entry to the Golden State’s most family-friendly theme parks.

Each Southern California CityPASS card saves travelers at least $120 off admission to California’s top theme parks. As of June 3, the card will include a Disneyland Resort 3-Day Park Hopper ticket, allowing three days of unlimited back-and-forth admission to both Disneyland® and Disney California Adventure® Park; one-day admission to SeaWorld® San Diego; and one-day admission to the newly added LEGOLAND California Resort.

Featuring more than 60 rides, shows and attractions, LEGOLAND California is an interactive, hands-on experience for families with children ages 2-12.

Packed with more than 30,000 models made from some than 60 million LEGO bricks, LEGOLAND California invites guests to explore Miniland U.S.A., where cities and iconic landmarks—including the White House, the Empire State Building and the Golden Gate Bridge—are replicated in 1:20 scale in LEGO bricks. Visitors can feel the rush of the four-story drop of LEGO Technic Coaster, set sail and get soaked on Splash Battle, burst through the castle as they conquer the Dragon Coaster on Castle Hill, or earn a driver’s license at the Driving School in Fun Town.

New this summer is LEGO Friends Heartlake City, an area based on one of the LEGO Group’s hottest toy lines: LEGO Friends, which focuses on the lives and personalities of five girls (Mia, Olivia, Andrea, Stephanie and Emma). Heartlake City allows guests to dance and sing along with Andrea at the Friends Forever Stage, stroll through LEGO horse stables, enjoy a building activity at one of the LEGO brick tables, and go for a horseback ride on the carousel at Mia’s Riding Camp.

At Disney’s first theme park—Disneyland—a major 60th anniversary celebration has introduced new nighttime entertainment spectaculars, including a high-tech electrical parade and a new fireworks show that uses projections upon buildings to encompass Disney guests in the show. The park is also home to many classic attractions. Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, one of the first rides in the world to use robotic animatronics, remains a huge draw for visitors, as does it’s a small world, that colorful, musical boat ride celebrating the happy spirit of childhood. And visitors will be amazed at the futuristic thrill of Star Tours—The Adventures Continue, the Star Wars movie homage that hurtles riders through a 3-D, motion-simulated space flight into hyperspace.

In the last few years, Disney California Adventure Park completed a $1.4 billion transformation and expansion capped by the opening of Cars Land, a 12-acre themed area modeled on scenes and characters from the movie Cars. The best way to experience Cars Land is to buckle up for a spin on Radiator Springs Racers, a ride that starts out as a leisurely scenic drive through beautiful Ornament Valley and ends with your car whooshing over hills, whipping around corners and careening past red rock formations as you race another vehicle to the finish line. Or, depart Cars Land to take a spooky, mind-bending elevator ride into the fifth dimension on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™.

SeaWorld San Diego offers live shows and oceans of wet and wild interactive fun. Guests can enjoy the serenity of sea turtles in Turtle Reef and imagine embarking on a turtle rescue mission. Or, sink beneath the surface and watch schools of sharks gliding overhead in the Shark Encounter® tunnel, one of the largest underwater viewing tunnels in the world. Everyone has a giggling good time watching the smart, sassy sea lions—Clyde and Seamore—perform popular TV and movie spoofs. And for some blood-pumping action, visitors can soar, dive and twist on the Manta double-launch coaster, whose design emulates the underwater flight of a manta ray.
