With three theme parks, a dining and entertainment complex and five hotels with three more on the way, Universal Orlando Resort is an all-encompassing destination that brings to life the world’s most captivating and powerful stories to create next-level vacations for the entire family.

Recently, the destination celebrated the opening of its newest attraction, Fast & Furious – Supercharged, and the latest addition to Universal CityWalk with the opening of Voodoo Doughnut. And there’s even more on the way. This growth will continue through 2018 and beyond with new attractions, shows, hotels and more.

NOW OPEN: Fast & Furious – Supercharged
Guests and their families can now join the Fast family on an authentic experience that places them right in the middle of the action in the new Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction at Universal Studios Florida. Guests can step into the blockbuster franchise and into the heart of the Fast & Furious films right alongside the Fast & Furious crew. As they walk in, guests will experience an authentic recreation of the Fast & Furious crew’s warehouse headquarters – filled with actual props, iconic scenes, authentic details and supercharged vehicles from the films. Then, guests will ride with the Fast family as the films’ soundtracks pump, vehicles flip, rockets fire and the action builds.

NOW OPEN: Voodoo Doughnut
Voodoo Doughnut is now officially open at Universal CityWalk, offering an amazing line-up of more than 50 types of delightfully weird and sinfully delicious doughnuts. Guests can enjoy signature originals and one-of-a-kind creations such as the savory yet sweet Bacon Maple Bar, the grape dust and lavender sprinkle covered Grape Ape and the  iconic Voodoo Doll doughnut, which is filled with raspberry jelly and topped with chocolate frosting and staked with a pretzel stake. Known for its bold and offbeat vibe, the Portland-based shop is a perfect fit for the incredible and audacious tastes of Universal CityWalk. The Orlando location is the first Voodoo Doughnut on the east coast.

More in Store for 2018 and Beyond
Welcoming its first guests this August, Universal’s Aventura Hotel will be the destination’s sixth on-site hotel and the next incredible addition to the Universal Orlando hotel portfolio. The stylish hotel will have a vibrant and modern feel with floor-to-ceiling windows in every room and tech-savvy accommodations, including in-room tablets that allow guests to order pizza and control their TV and temperature controls. Guests who stay here will receive exclusive benefits including Early Park Admission to Universal’s theme parks, complimentary resort-wide transportation, an easy-access walking path to Universal’s Volcano Bay and more. The hotel will also feature Universal Orlando’s first rooftop bar & grill – Bar 17 Bistro. Guests can enjoy cocktails and small plates inspired by global cuisine while taking in stunning views of all three theme parks. Rates start as low as $94 per night for a seven-night stay and $116 per night for a four-night stay.

This summer, a new nighttime lagoon show will debut at Universal Studios Florida. The show will include new animation featuring characters from favorite Universal attractions, a new storyline, new music, lighting and special effects. This experience will complement the breathtaking nighttime show at Universal’s Islands of Adventure – The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle.

A new generation of thrill ride is coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure in 2019. The attraction will be one of the most highly-themed coaster experiences Universal Orlando has ever created. This all-new ride will take guests deeper into J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, where they’ll encounter some of their favorite characters and creatures on a coaster experience that’s fun for the entire family.

Beginning next summer, Universal Orlando will add two more hotels to the destination – providing more options for every style and budget with its most affordable hotels yet. The new hotel complex will be known as Universal’s Endless Summer Resort. It will feature two hotels, Surfside Inn and Suites and Dockside Inn and Suites, and will introduce Universal Orlando’s all-new Value hotel category with rates as low as $73 per night. The hotels will feature a combined 2,800 guest rooms, including 1,450 two-bedroom suites designed to accommodate families of all sizes. In addition to exclusive theme park benefits, guests will enjoy a relaxed and easy vibe, and fun surf and beachy details will be woven in throughout the experience. Surfside Inn and Suites will open in the summer of 2019, and reservations will be accepted very soon. Its sister property, Dockside Inn and Suites, will open in 2020. The addition of Universal’s Endless Summer Resort will increase the number of hotel rooms to 9,000 across the destination’s eight hotels.
