Where to Eat:
Kenzo Tsujimoto opened Kenzo, his authentic Japanese sushi restaurant in downtown Napa in November 2016. The restaurant features a fixed menu for Kaiseki and sushi featuring fresh fish delivered from world-renowned Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, paired with wines from Kenzo Estate along with an array of Japanese sakes.

The Restaurant at the CIA at Copia opened in December 2016 in downtown Napa. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and features an array of menu items created for guests to share. Courses are presented to each table on carts or trays by servers and chefs, which allows guests to visually preview each dish. The restaurant also features a curated selection of wines, also brought out on a cart, as well as beer and craft cocktails to complement the meal.

The Charter Oak, an elemental restaurant by Chef Christopher Kostow and Nathaniel Dorn of the Michelin-three starred Restaurant at Meadowood, will open in St. Helena in spring 2017. The Charter Oak will be centered on a celebratory and casual dining experience.

Charlie Palmer Steak by Chef Charlie Palmer (owner of Harvest Inn and Harvest Table in St. Helena) will open at the upcoming Archer Hotel in downtown Napa in 2017. Palmer and team will also oversee the culinary direction of the rooftop bar, poolside and in-room dining, as well as private events for the Archer Hotel.

Where to Drink:
Fieldwork Brewing Company opened their taproom in Napa’s Oxbow Public Market's main market hall in October 2016. Visitors can expect an ever-changing tap list of fresh releases to enjoy by sampler flight, beer by the glass, and fresh beer filled "to go" in growlers and Crowler cans.

Picayune Cellars opened their new tasting room in Calistoga in August 2016. Picayune which translates to “a little bit” in French, is a small production winery focused on making craft wines of high quality.

Stags’ Leap Winery completed the full renovation of their historic manor house in Napa in November 2016. The new tasting space features new on-site wine tasting experiences including the “Winemaker’s Apothecary Garden Experience” which includes a full tour of the historic property followed by a seated sensory tasting featuring aromatic elements selected from the garden.

Pine Ridge Vineyards in Napa opened their “Cellar 47,” an inviting new tasting alcove located in the caves of the renowned Stags Leap District winery, in early November 2016. Designed by architect Michael Guthrie, who has also designed famed San Francisco eateries such as Coqueta and Fog City Diner, Cellar 47 welcomes guests with rustic elegance.

Stone Brewing is set to open a downtown Napa Tap Room and Pilot Brewery in the historic Borreo Building in 2017. The new tasting room will include a pilot brewing system, a dining experience, growler fills and Stone merchandise.

New Things to See and Do
Getaway Adventures will offer wedding proposal tours starting March 2017. The tour may be done by a private bike or van tour to Calistoga or Carneros wineries followed by a surprise “pop the question moment” at a scenic winery with a photographer to chronicle the joyous moment. They are also launching a Napa Valley Brewery Tours in March 2017 in their new Mercedes Benz Sprinter van. Stops include Downtown Joes, Napa Smith, Palisades, Fieldwork brewery and the upcoming Stone Brewing.

Blue Note Napa opened in October 2016 and offers live music Tuesday through Sunday in downtown Napa. Occupying the first floor of the historic Napa Valley Opera House, the jazz club presents national and international artists, along with Bay Area and regional favorites, paired with the region’s finest wines, craft brews, cuisine, and classic cocktails. Blue Note Napa also presents musical headliners of all genres in the Opera House’s second-floor ballroom.

Feast it Forward Network will open its headquarters in downtown Napa across from the Oxbow Public Market in 2017. They will offer live studio ticketed experiences with national chefs and musicians. Where to Stay:
Vintage Estate, comprised of the Vintage Inn and Villagio Inn & Spa in Yountville, is undergoing a complete renovation. Both hotels and spa have teamed up with SB Architects and interior design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates, to completely enhance the guest experience of the lobbies, hotel rooms, spa, and meetings and event space. Renovations are expected to be completed at both Villagio and Vintage Inn by spring 2017.

Auberge du Soleil will unveil eight new guest rooms and suites in May 2017, designed by acclaimed San Francisco interior designer Suzanne Tucker. SENZA Hotel, in partnership with More Associates and Construction, will complete a significant renovation to its eight-room Parker Mansion by Spring 2017. The historic Parker Mansion dates back to 1870 and houses SENZA's Parker Classic and Parker Plus rooms. The revamped interior design of the Mansion, undertaken by Leslie Wilks of Leslie Wilks Design, will offer guests new modern bathrooms, oversized showers and a custom amenity line from Marin-based Prima Fleur.

Archer Hotel Napa, a new-build hotel in the heart of downtown Napa, is set to open in 2017. The hotel will feature 143-rooms and 40 balcony-clad suites spanning five stories and a sweeping 360-degree view of Napa Valley from its expansive rooftop. The rooftop will feature a spa, fitness studio and ledge pool with cabanas and fireplaces. Charlie Palmer Steak will be the hotel’s signature restaurant and also provide the culinary direction for the 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
